Injuries
There are two classifications of injuries:
- Traumatic Injuries
- Caused by a single event
- Occurred during one work shift
- Use form CA-1
- Medical Care–Form CA-16
- Occupational Disease
- Caused by multiple events
- Occurred during more than one work shift
- Use form CA-2 along with appropriate checklist
Employees are required to:
- Immediately report all job-related injuries or illness to your immediate supervisor.
- Complete all required injury forms timely.
- Provide all information requested by the Agency and OWCP promptly.
- Immediately report any change in medical condition or restrictions to your supervisor and/or OWCP contact person.
- Advise your physician if light/limited duty is available that is in line with work restrictions caused by your injury.
- Cooperate with the agency and OWCP in their efforts to identify appropriate alternative employment and/or reasonable accommodation.
