Spotlighting different geographic regions and themes across the country, National Register Travel Itineraries expose visitors to a huge variety of places significant in American history, architecture, archeology, engineering, and culture.  Washington, DC: A Guide to the Historic Neighborhoods and Monuments of Our Nation's Capital was produced by the National Park Service (NPS), U.S. Department of the Interior, in cooperation with the Washington, DC State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO), U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), the Historical Society of Washington, DC, the DC Heritage Tourism Coalition, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and the National Conference of State Historic Preservation Officers (NCSHPO).  The following GSA properties are part of the tour:
