Matthew Bundy joined the Analysis and Prediction Group in BFRL as a NRC/NIST Postdoctoral Research Fellow in 1999. His research focus was extinction and structure measurements of very low strain rate laminar diffusion flames. Dr. Bundy’s current research interests include flame suppression, flame spread on real materials, and post-flame soot measurements. He is presently the principal investigator on an STRS project studying flammability measures for polymeric materials used in consumer electronic equipment. Dr. Bundy is currently a co-investigator on two NASA funded projects studying flame suppression and soot growth mechanisms. Dr. Bundy has authored several journal and conference publications and is a member of Pi Tau Sigma (Mechanical Engineering National Honor Society) and The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). |
