STEREO Pre-launch

The two STEREO spacecraft will observe space weather events from two vantage points in space. Using the gravity assist with the Moon, the two satellites, designated A & B (for "Ahead" and "Behind") will be directed into orbits slightly offset from Earth's orbit.
