3-D Coronal Mass Ejections

Image for 3-D Coronal Mass Ejections

When it comes to the safety of astronauts in interplanetary space, Coronal Mass Ejections (CME) are one of the greatest threats (Sun vs. Mission to Mars). It is important to understand as much as possible about these powerful space weather events. The ability to predict their occurance and movement through three-dimensional space is an important step in this process.
