About Health Volunteers Overseas
HVO designs and implements clinical education programs in a
variety of specialties including medicine, surgery, pediatrics,
physical therapy, nursing, dentistry, dermatology, and anesthesia.
These programs are staffed by highly qualified health care professionals
interested in sharing their knowledge and skills with their colleagues
overseas.
International Voluntary Service Activities
HVO recruits upwards of 375 volunteers annually to serve at
more than 55 training program in over 25 countries. Volunteers
pay their own expenses and the average length of an assignment
is 1 month.

Profile Summary |
All HVO volunteers must be fully trained, licensed and
credentialed health care professionals. Retired professionals
can also be placed. Volunteers must be commited to the HVO
mission of teaching and training.
