Coming to us as a retired Navy cook, Steward Acob attended the Naval Culinary Institute (Class of 2001), has a bachelor in housing management, and attended the Naval Leadership School and the Navy’s Flag & Mess Operations “C” School. When he’s not cooking up some real tasty chow for hungry fisherman, he finds time for fishing, cooking, gardening and biking.

2nd Cook Jesse Stiggins, Hometown: Palm Coast, FL.

Chef Stiggins is a Florida native and resides there with his wife Michelle and his son and two daughters, Nick, Tiana, and Toni. He is a retired Navy veteran of 20 years. He has worked as a Naval Captain's personal chef, the Head Chef of a facility in his home town, as well as supervisor of the NATO base elementary school kitchen in Keflavik, Iceland, among other various culinary jobs in his 30 year career. He has been with NOAA for 7 years, having previously served on the Delaware II and the Nancy Foster. He enjoys bowling, fishing, COOKING and being with his family.
