Welcome to ARIC's Atmosphere, Climate & Environment Information Programme website.

The Atmosphere, Climate & Environment (ACE) Information Programme was supported by the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) until 2005 to disseminate information, without advocacy or bias, on the causes, effects of and controls on air pollution and climate change, within the framework of national legislation and international discussion.

Use the menubar at the top to browse the website. Through this homepage, you can access the Programme's range of school resources, online encyclopedias, newsletters and air quality data (supplied by NETCEN).

Vancouver to Moscow - an adventure through the fragile north to raise awareness of climate change.

As Defra withdrew financial support in 2005 this means that unfortunately the website is no longer being mantained and updated. However rather than withdraw this resource we have left the site active, but please remember that external links may no longer function, and that the material has not been updated since 2004/5 .
