U.S. Department of Labor’s Women’s Bureau to host May 16 conference in Denver on life changing experiences for women

DENVER – The Women’s Bureau of the U.S. Department of Labor is sponsoring a conference on enhancing earnings and better living for women titled “Bucket of Hope – A Life Changing Experience” in Denver on Friday, May 16, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. MDT, at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Donald R. Seawell Grand Ballroom, 1101 13 th St.

Topics to be covered include: money matters in housing, credit, insurance, investments and retirement; de-cluttering your life; lifestyle behavior change; and worksite wellness programs. The keynote speaker for the conference will be Gloria Boseman, Ph.D., professor, New Jersey City University, who will focus on urban health and lifestyle behaviors.

“The Women’s Bureau is proud to sponsor this conference to provide a unique opportunity to focus on better jobs, better earnings and better living for women,” said Frances Jefferson, the Women’s Bureau’s regional administrator in Denver.
