SSA became the first Federal agency
to publish its FY 2000 Performance and Accountability Report |
SSA's Performance and Accountability Report for FY 2000 provides full
disclosure of SSA's financial and programmatic operations. In prior years,
the Report was titled SSA's Accountability Report and for FY 2000 was
renamed to comply with the Reports Consolidation Act of 2000. With its
issuance on December 1, 2000 -- 2 months after the close of the fiscal
year -- SSA became the first Federal agency to publish its FY 2000 Performance
and Accountability Report. FY 2000 marks the Fourteenth year that SSA
has published audited financial statements, the seventh year that SSA
has received an unqualified opinion on its financial statements and the
sixth year that SSA has consolidated statutorily required financial reporting
into a single report.
