Are you a senior-level executive with vision and proven leadership in administering programs at the highest level of government? Do you want to shape scientific management and policies that affect public health world-wide? If so, consider job opportunities at CDC through the Senior Executive Service (SES), Senior Biomedical Research Service (SBRS), or as a distinguished consultant (DC).

Senior Executive Service (SES)

The Senior Executive Service (SES) covers senior level managerial, supervisory, and policy positions. Candidates for SES positions must be certified by the Office of Personnel Management OR by the Secretary Health and Human Services. Click here for more information on the Senior Executive Service program.

Pay and Benefits

Federal executives earn a competitive salary and are eligible for performance bonuses of 5 to 20 percent of base pay for superior accomplishments.

Executives receive a defined benefit retirement plan and participate in a retirement savings investment plan that offers before tax savings and tax deferred investment earnings. View the Guide to the Senior Executive Service for additional information on pay and benefits available to federal executives.

How to Apply

CDC Senior Executive Service (SES) job announcements are posted on USAJOBS. Each announcement includes detailed instructions on how to apply.
