CAUTION

Jacobo Varela and his brother, Hugo Varela, are wanted for the murder of a Florida man in September of 1998. While attending a wedding in DeLeon Springs, Florida, the Varela brothers allegedly shot the victim several times in front of his wife, child, and numerous guests. The Varela brothers fled the area and are believed to have traveled to Mexico. However, they may have returned to the United States.

In September of 1998, state arrest warrants were issued in the Circuit Court of Volusia County, Florida, after Jacobo and Hugo Varela were charged with first degree murder. The Varela brothers were charged federally with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, and federal arrest warrants were issued by the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division.
