DESCRIPTION
CAUTIONManuel Benitez is wanted in connection with the June 21, 2004, beating murder of his girlfriend in Hawthorne, California. Benitez allegedly beat the victim to death with a dumbbell, and absconded with the couple's three-year-old son (pictured below). On May 11, 2005, a state warrant was issued by the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles, for Benitez's arrest after he was charged with murder. Benitez was charged federally with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution and an arrest warrant was issued by the United States District Court, Central District of California, on March 21, 2006. REWARDThe FBI is currently offering a reward of up to $20,000 for information leading to the arrest of Manuel Benitez.

Benitez may be traveling with his mother, Elizabeth Velasco, who is wanted for questioning regarding the kidnapping of Benjamin Everett. Benjamin Everett Benitez may be traveling with his son, Benjamin Everett, who has not been seen since the murder. Benjamin is described as a biracial (Black and Hispanic) male, DOB: November 15, 2001, 4'0", 40 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
