Figures shown here on the number of mineral industries establishments, employment, and payroll for 1992 differ from those published in the Comparative Statistics pdf and in 1992 Mineral Industries publications. As published elsewhere, 1992 mineral industries figures include auxiliary establishments, while 1997 figures do not, thus making calculations of percent change inappropriate. The 1992 figures included here are from a special tabulation that excludes auxiliaries, and thus are comparable to 1997 figures.
