CaliforniaVolunteers is pleased to partner with the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation in sponsoring the Governor and First Lady's Service Award. The program honors children ages 5-14 who complete 25 hours of community service in a 12-month period. Recipients of this award will receive a personalized certificate signed by the Governor and First Lady.
California is the first state in the nation to partner with the President's Council and the President's Volunteer Service Award in this way. Upon earning the Governor and First Lady's Service Award, volunteers are encouraged to continue serving towards recognition provided by the President's Volunteer Service Award.
