DOCLINE® -- EFTS Requests that are Free to a Borrower

Question: What do I do with requests that are free to a particular borrower?
Answer:

If your library does not charge for any requests from libraries in a particular library group (e.g., FreeShare), you can exclude these requests from the EFTS File Builder display. On the EFTS Transaction File Builder screen, select the Library Group(s) which you do not charge. Select REFRESH. Transactions from the selected Library Group are eliminated from the list of transactions to review.

To indicate that a single request is free, enter zero (0) in the Charge input box for that request when processing other requests for billing. Complete the process of creating a transaction file. Those requests with "0" are marked as "free" in DOCLINE so they will not display when you next process requests for billing.
