Header and Footers on National Library of Medicine Web Pages and Applications
Web Sites Hosted and/or Funded by NLM
Branding/Header
To ensure users know the source of a National Library of Medicine (NLM) Web site or application, we work with developers to appropriately indicate branding. Exhibits developed for NLM, for instance, must use the NLM logo or the words U.S. National Library of Medicine at the top of the home page or application, preferrably repeated on every page.
In other cases, if approved by your NLM project coordinator, developers may use the official NLM header and footer.
Footer
All sites and applications developed for NLM must follow the format of the standard footer which can be seen at NLM header and footer. Items added to the footer must be added to the text aligned to the right. Please refer changes to this format to your NLM project coordinator for approval.
Final design of the site must be approved by your NLM project coordinator.
Cooperative Web Sites
On Web sites or applications developed in cooperation with NLM, we ask that developers indicate the cooperative relationship by placing the NLM logo or the words U.S. National Library of Medicine anywhere on the home page of the site or application.
