VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENTS: To obtain copies of job vacancy announcements, applicants may--

Vacancy announcements contain important information that applicants need to know to apply for a specific job opening including the duties and responsibilities of the position; minimum qualification requirements; knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for the position; and general application procedures.

APPLICANT SUPPLY INFORMATION: NIST also collects applications or resumes for future job openings in a range of occupational areas. Applications are maintained in the Applicant Supply File for a period of 90 days and are considered only when a specific vacancy is being filled. All applicants are eligible to apply (including NIST and Department of Commerce employees). A separate application or resume is required for each occupation and pay band.
