About Us:

Nurtured by the College's team-based approach to cardiovascular care, Cardiac Care Associate membership group has exceptional growth, reaching nearly 3,600 members since their inception in 2003. The CCAs are comprised of professional types including Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Registered Nurses, Clinical Pharmacists, and Physician Assistants.

Since 2003, when this member group was formed, CCAs serve not only on their own Committee, but also, on over 30 standing ACC Committees, including, but not limited to: publications, continuing education, cardiac catheterization and intervention committee, accreditation steering committee, and the heart failure and transplant committee.

CCA Member Benefits:

Free, premium access to Cardiosource.com.  ACC’s outstanding online portal offers thousands of clinical images, breaking medical news, The Journal of the American College of Cardiology, self-assessment products and many other educational tools and resources.

Continuing Medical Education Credits. ACC is approved to provide American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) accredited courses, which means that CCA nurse members may earn continuing education (CE) credit for several of the ACC’s educational programs. ACC is also accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACGME) so physician assistants may earn CMEs for approved courses. Please consult the ACC’s Educational Programs page for more information: http://acc.org/education/programs/programs.htm.

Substantial Educational Savings! CCA members enjoy discounted membership dues and registration for the Annual Scientific Session. CCAs also receive substantial discounts on educational products and programs... up to 40% off the physician member rates.

ACC member publications include Cardiology magazine, Cardiosource Review Journal, JACC Journals: Journal of the American College of Cardiology, JACC intervention, and JACC Imaging. The ACC also has two e-newsletters: CV News Digest and ACC News.
