Frostbite occurs in 15 minutes or less

Instructions:

Find the temperature in the top row and move down the column until intersecting the wind speed row. This will show the temperature which would produce the same cooling effect without wind.

Notes:

  1. Frostbite danger is for exposed flesh.
  2. Wind speed is the speed of the air flowing over exposed flesh. Include vehicle speed when riding in the open.
  3. Layers of clothing are important for protection from frostbite. Even a single layer offers some protection.
  4. Learn signs for frostbite and be alert for them. Protect yourself from dangerous wind chill!
