The ``Sun as a Star'' spectrum observed with the CDS Normal Incidence Spectrometer on 15 May 1997. The identification of most of the brightest lines are shown. To derive the full disk irradiance spectrum 69 different pointings of the CDS FOV were required to cover the entire Sun.
