WASHINGTON - The United States Mint today announced it is
now offering RSS (Really Simple Syndication) Feeds, an easy way to receive the most up-to-date
information about United States Mint coin programs and products.
"We are constantly working to enhance customer service, and the RSS feeds offer the most
convenient way for our customers to receive the latest information from the United States Mint,"
said United States Mint Director Edmund C. Moy. "Whether you need information about United
States Mint events, or products and prices, this is by far the easiest way to make sure you don’t
miss out on any news from the United States Mint."
The United States Mint is offering two RSS feeds:

The Press Releases and Public Statements RSS feed conveys press releases and other public statements,
such as media advisories, communicated through the United States Mint Public Affairs Office via our
website www.usmint.gov.

The Product Information Updates RSS feed announces the latest information about current and upcoming
products, as well as other important news for customers of the United States Mint.
RSS allows users who subscribe to a feed to keep updated on frequently changing content. To receive
RSS feeds from the United States Mint, users must first download and install a news reader or aggregator,
many of which are free from the World Wide Web, that translates RSS code into an easily understood format.
Like an email program or Web browser, the news reader serves as an information portal by providing a
real-time interface to the selected feeds. There are many such news readers or aggregators available,
and they can be found in many locations on the Internet. Recent versions of some web browsers now have
built-in RSS aggregators, so check yours first before downloading.
Once a news reader is downloaded, the next step is to subscribe to a feed. A small "RSS" button indicates
the presence of a feed. On the United States Mint website, the button looks like this:
