Applications Invited for IOC Training Course and Identification Qualification in Harmful Marine Microalgae 2007

The overall goal of the IOC HAB Programme is to foster the effective management of, and scientific research on, harmful algal blooms in order to understand their causes, predict their occurrences, and mitigate their effects.

NOAA's Center for Sponsored Coastal Ocean Research has provided funding to The Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) to cover the course fee for three U.S. participants in the IOC Training Course and Identification Qualification in Harmful Marine Microalgae 2007. Travel expenses must be provided by the participant. U.S. participants include any student, researcher, or manager working on U.S. harmful algal bloom (HAB) problems, including foreign nationals.
