A message from the Social Security
Administration regarding Central
Contractor Registration requirements. The Federal Acquisition Regulation requires that individuals, businesses, or organizations must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database in order to receive a contract, purchase order, or blanket purchase agreement from the Federal Government. To learn more about this requirement and how to complete CCR registration, go the CCR website at http://www.ccr.gov. Contractors must register themselves through the on-line system at the CCR website. Once your registration becomes active, a welcome letter or electronic mail notice will be sent to you. Additionally, your company's Trading Partner Identification Number (TPIN) will be sent through the U.S. mail to the individual you indicate as the CCR point of contact. This TPIN is your password for future access to your CCR record. You should never be asked by Government officials to submit this data directly to them, nor to give them your Trading Partner Identification Number (TPIN). Please view the "Security Alert" regarding fraudulent letters sent to contractors, requesting the TPIN number on the CCR website. |
