Program
Highlights

CSCOR is exploring new initiatives related to climate change impacts on coastal ecosystems.  These initiatives would build on and compliment our ongoing work with sea level rise, the US Global Change Research Program and climate change impacts on intertidal systems.  These new initiatives would provide valuable information to coastal managers about emerging threats and impacts to protected resources. They would support integrated efforts to develop the information and predictive tools to enable managers to proactively plan for, respond to and mitigate climate change impacts.  These areas, which are described below, focus on understanding the impacts of ocean acidification on coastal ecosystems and on mitigating climate change impacts on NOAA managed resources.
