Terry Virts: I was too young to remember Apollo. I was only one when Neil and Buzz landed on the moon during Apollo eleven. But I remember as a small boy the first book that I ever read was about Apollo and the Saturn 5. And I guess I was about five years old. But I still remember getting that book and reading it for my first book. I just grew up loving space, being around it, hearing about it, seeing books and we had pictures and all kinds of stuff. So I did grow up with space and I've just been fascinated. And I thought the Apollo landings were the coolest thing ever since I was a kid.
