Spanish Language Broadcasting

The automated NOAA Weather Radio programming system will support Spanish language broadcasting. Spanish language synthesized voice will be provided for any product received in Spanish language. In addition, transmitters serving a significant Hispanic population will begin broadcasts of automated generic Spanish translations of all emergency weather and natural hazard messages issued for the Emergency Alert System (EAS). These translations will serve NOAA Weather Radio listeners, and will be broadcast immediately after the official EAS warning is issued. At some offices where staffing allows and population dictates, additional automated Spanish broadcasting may be available.
