NASA Management Office (NMO) at JPL Procurement
Site
Welcome
INTRODUCTION: The NASA Management
Office at JPL is the NASA office responsible for the multi-billion
dollar prime contract between NASA and the California Institute of
Technology, for the operation of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory,
NASA's only Federally Funded Research and Development Center
(FFRDC). The primary acquisition function of the NMO is to award
and manage the JPL prime contract, to place task orders on the
prime contract with Caltech, perform contract administration, and
consent to subcontracts. Virtually all work performed at the Jet
Propulsion Laboratory, both NASA and non-NASA, is performed under
the auspices of the NASA prime contract. The NMO also awards and
manages a limited number of other smaller contracts. The NMO is a
field element of the Office of Space Science, NASA
Headquarters.
