What's Your Excuse?

Launched Sept. 15, 2008 – The "What's Your Excuse?" campaign, created in partnership with the Ad Council, and is geared towards encouraging kids 8 to 12 to live a more energy efficient life. The campaign Web site includes videos, games, animations, and an energy action plan that help kids learn more about how they can make their homes more energy efficient.

Kids Saving Energy

Launched Sept. 15, 2008 – Created in partnership with the Ad Council, these public service announcements feature Tinker Bell and her friends teaching kids ages 8 to 9 about energy efficiency. The new fairy-themed EERE Kids site teaches kids about energy efficiency and renewable energy and includes some tips for saving energy at home.

ENERGY STAR Campaigns

Launched July 30, 2008 – ENERGY STAR® is running two campaigns: the Recycle My Old Fridge campaign, which encourages people to trade in their old, less efficient refrigerators for energy-saving ENERGY STAR refrigerators; and Operation Change Out – The Military Challenge, which encourages military facilities to change their light bulbs to energy-saving compact fluorescent bulbs.
