Guided Tours

Free tours of the Kennedy Center are given by the Friends of the Kennedy Center from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday and Sunday. They depart from the parking plaza on Level A, and feature the Hall of States and Hall of Nations, the Center's main theaters, and dozens of paintings, sculptures, and other artworks given to the Center by foreign countries. For more information, call (202) 416-8340 (TTY 416-8524).

The Kennedy Center also goes world wide with free tours of the building given in several foreign languages upon request: English, Spanish, German, French, and Japanese. In addition, the Friends office provides tour scripts in 11 languages to make the nation's center for the performing arts accessible to an international audience. Several of these guides are available online.

Can't make it to the Kennedy Center? Take the Kennedy Center Treasures Tour, a virtual tour celebrating the Center as both a center for the performing arts and as a memorial to President John F. Kennedy.
