The SLATEC Common Mathematical Library is a collection of Fortran subprograms
for a wide variety of mathematical problems. A primary impetus for the library
development was to provide portable, non-proprietary, mathematical software
for supercomputers at a consortium of government-sponsored research
laboratories.
