The effects of deployment, post-traumatic stress syndrome, as well as other stressors of military life can lead to unhealthy coping behaviors and/or addiction to alcohol and drugs in veterans returning to civilian life.
This program examines treatment availability and alcohol and drug addiction treatment options available for veterans and their families. The show also addresses current trends and prevalence of substance use disorders among veterans and will shed light on current addiction treatment issues facing veterans and their families.
