Earth Observing-1
Earth Observing-1 (EO-1) was a mission devoted entirely to the flight validation of 13 advanced technologies applicable to future land-imaging missions. The missions was approved in 1996 and launched in 2000. The technologies were validated within a year and the spacecraft was used on an extended mission to study the Earth.
