American Boiler Manufacturers Association (ABMA)
ABMA is the national, nonprofit trade association of manufacturers of commercial/institutional, industrial and power-generating boilers, related fuel burning equipment and environmental systems, users of boiler and boiler-related equipment, and companies which provide products and services to the combustion equipment industry.

American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE)
ASHRAE, the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers is an international organization of 50,000 persons with chapters throughout the world. The Society is organized for the sole purpose of advancing the arts and sciences of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration for the public's benefit through research, standards writing, continuing education and publications.
Through its membership, ASHRAE writes standards that set uniform methods of testing and rating equipment and establish accepted practices for the HVAC&R industry worldwide, such as the design of energy efficient buildings. The Society's research program, currently more than 100 research projects worth nearly $8 million, investigates numerous issues, such as identifying new refrigerants that are environmentally safe. ASHRAE organizes broad-based technical programs for presentation at its semiannual meetings and co-sponsors the International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition, the largest HVAC&R trade show in North America.

The American Wind Energy Association is a national trade association that represents wind power plant developers, wind turbine manufacturers, utilities, consultants, insurers, financiers, researchers, and others involved in the wind industry.
Association of Energy Engineers (AEE)
AEE is a society of over 8,000 professionals involved in all areas of the energy field. Association of Energy Services Professionals (AESP)
The Association of Energy Services Professionals (formerly the Association of Demand-Side Management Professionals) is an association of nearly 2,000 utility executives, consultants, manufacturers, researchers, government regulators, and others concerned with promoting energy efficiency and value. Our members are individuals active in the energy services industry. Founded in 1989, the AESP conducts training courses, topical conferences, and workshops.

CIBSE is the British counterpart to the American Society of Heating Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). The fifty or so files accessible from this server include links to UK sources and listings of our own publications, many of them concerned with building energy efficiency.

Edison Electric Institute (EEI)
EEI is the premier trade association for U.S. shareholder-owned electric companies, and serves international affiliates and industry associates worldwide. Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA)
IESNA is home to over 70 technical, research, design and application, and educational committees that study and report on all aspects of lighting. These committees set consensus standards and recommended practices which affect the public and the lighting professional alike. Once a year, hundreds of lighting professionals gather together at the IESNA Annual Conference to learn about the latest activities and advances in the industry. LIGHTFAIR, cosponsored by the IESNA, is the largest lighting trade show in the United States. The IESNA has over 90 local sections and 18 active student chapters throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

International Commission on Illumination (CIE)

International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC)
The IEC was founded in 1906 as a result of a resolution passed at the International Electrical Congress held in St. Louis (U.S.A.) in 1904. The IEC is composed of National Committees, of which there are 49 at present, representing all the industrial countries in the world.

International Standardization Organization (ISO)
ISO is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies from some 100 countries, one from each country. ISO is a non-governmental organization established in 1947. The mission of ISO is to promote the development of standardization and related activities in the world with a view to facilitating the international exchange of goods and services, and to developing cooperation in the spheres of intellectual, scientific, technological and economic activity. ISO's work results in international agreements which are published as International Standards.

NAHB's Research Center
The NAHB Research Center was founded in 1964 as a separately incorporated, wholly-owned, not-for-profit subsidiary of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). NAHB has 182,000 members, including more than 50,000 who build more than 80 percent of all U.S. homes. National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC)
NARUC concerns itself with the advancement of commission regulation through the study and discussion of subjects concerning the operation and supervision of public utilities and carriers, the promotion of uniformity of regulation of public utilities and carriers by the several commissions, the promotion of coordinated action by the commissions of the several States to protect the common interests of the people with respect to the regulation of public utilities and carriers, and the promotion of cooperation of the commissions of the several States with each other and with the Federal commissions represented in the Association. This list includes the titles, number of pages, dates and prices per copy of the latest editions of publications available from the NARUC.
National Petroleum Council (NPC)
Since its formation in 1946, the NPC has prepared over 200 reports, which deal with virtually every aspect of oil and gas operations. NPC reports include: examinations of the ongoing and future operations and requirements of the U.S. oil and gas industries; statistical studies descriptive of these industries; delineations of the U.S. oil and gas resource base; and comprehensive analyses of the domestic energy supply/demand situation. On numerous occasions, the Council has provided advice on governmental response to emergency situations, both prospective and actual. Other studies have focused on environmental and energy conservation, technology, and legal issues.
National Propane Gas Association (NPGA)
NPGA is the national trade association representing the U.S. propane industry. Our membership includes small businesses and large corporations engaged in the retail marketing of propane gas and appliances; producers and wholesalers of propane equipment; manufacturers and distributors of propane gas appliances and equipment; fabricators of propane gas cylinders and tanks; and propane transporters.
National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA)
NRCA, established in 1886, is one of the construction industry's oldest trade associations and the voice of roofing professionals worldwide. It is an association of roofing, roof deck, and waterproofing contractors; industry-related associate members, including manufacturers, distributors, architects, consultants, engineers, city, state and federal government agencies; and international members. NRCA has more than 4,000 members and is affiliated with 99 state, regional, and international roofing contractor associations.
National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA)
Founded in 1942, the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) is the national service organization dedicated to representing the national interests of cooperative electric utilities and the consumers they serve. NRECA's more than 900 member cooperatives serve 40 million people in 47 states.
North American Electric Reliability Council (NERC)
NERC's mission is to promote the reliability of the electricity supply for North America. In short, NERC helps electric utilities and other electricity suppliers work together to keep the lights on. It does this by reviewing the past for lessons learned, monitoring the present for compliance with policies, criteria, standards, principles, and guides, and assessing the future reliability of the bulk electric systems.
North American Insulation Manufacturers Association (NAIMA)
NAIMA is a trade association of North American (United States, Canada and Mexico) manufacturers of fiber glass, rock wool, and slag wool insulation products. NAIMA members manufacture the vast majority of fiber glass, rock and slag wool insulations produced and used in North America. Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA)
For over twenty years, SEIA has been the national trade association representing manufacturers, suppliers, and engineers in the photovoltaic and solar thermal industries.
