Mooring Buoy

Expanded FKNMS mooring buoys from 175 to 394 by incorporating mooring buoys previously installed by NGO's in Key West, Marathon, and Islamorada.
Complete refit of all mooring buoy systems top to bottom.
Aquired and equipped two 39' mooring buoy vessels, (Rachel carson and Agassiz). Hired and trained new mooring buoys staff.
Developed a mooring buoy installation and maintenance manual.
Installed 109 yellow boundary buoys for the marine zones.
Installed 102 Wildlife Management Area boundary buyos.
Installed 2 mooring buoys on the Thunderbolt (Marathon) and Cayman Salvager (Key West).
Installed 5 new mooring buoys in the Lower Keys.
Installed 14 new buoys in teh Tortugas Ecological Reserve.
