Access: Permitted; subject to P&P policy on serving originals.

Reproduction (photocopying, hand-held camera copying, photoduplication and other forms of copying allowed by "fair use"): Permitted; subject to P&P policy on copying.

Publication and other forms of distribution: May be restricted. Sigmund Freud Copyrights, which sells usage rights to Freud photographs, asserts that it holds the copyright for many Freud family photographs held by the Library. ( A copy of the photo inventory for Sigmund Freud Copyrights is filed in the P&P Reference File.) While the Library of Congress has not found any information in its files that substantiates this claim, patrons are advised that Sigmund Freud Copyrights has an interest in the use of Freud images, and patrons are advised to check for copyright before publishing or otherwise distributing photographs from the Library's Freud Collection.
