Outcome of two types of treatment for pneumonia in alcohol-treated animals

Outcome of two types of treatment for pneumonia in alcohol-treated animals. Treatment with granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) completely protected acutely intoxicated rats from an otherwise lethal pneumonia. Placebo-treated intoxicated rats all succumbed to the pneumonia within 72 hours.
