This site is designed to assist persons who are interested in interstate surface transportation businesses. The rules, regulations, and requirements governing interstate surface transportation are administered by two agencies of the federal government and applicable state agencies.

MCMIS Catalog
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) of the Department of Transportation operates and maintains the Motor Carrier Management Information System (MCMIS). MCMIS contains information on the safety fitness of commercial motor carriers and hazardous material (HM) shippers subject to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and the Hazardous Materials Regulations. This information is available to the general public through the MCMIS Data Dissemination Program.
