Welcome to the U.S. Coast Guard,
Enlisted
Assignments Website.

CGPC-epm-2 Branch Chief “Hot Word

CDR Prestidge has just reported aboard and will release a hot word shortly to kick off the AY09 Assignment Year, which is chocked full of challenges as we stand-up a new law enforcement rating, await the reorganization impacts of modernization initiatives, and develop strategies to overcome projected transfer budget deficits due to the pending continuing resolution, rising fuel costs, and the Families First household goods program.

The new website contains most of the same information, but in a new layout, so please take some time to become familiar with the resources, especially the “Hot Topics” section.  Many valuable “Frequently Asked Questions” and “Messdeck Myths” are addressed in order to provide a better understanding of the assignment process.

AY09 Special Assignment slates are nearly complete and several early slate messages are underway, as well as the MST lateral process.  As always, a lot is happening with about a quarter of the workforce in transition this summer.  To ensure you don’t miss any important information that might impact your career, stay tuned to the message board for our ALCGENL messages, call your assignment officer for career counseling, review your Assignment Officer’s web page for updates and attend roadshows regardless of tour completion date.  Good luck and be safe!
