OVERVIEW
The USAID Privacy Office, in conjunction with its Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance, conducted a PIA of the OFDANET GSS. OFDANET GSS is the interconnected set of information resources under the common management control of, and which provide the common functionality as the local area network (LAN) for, USAID Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance. The system provides computing connectivity from any of the OFDA logical sites and/or any remote connections to OFDA's main network.

The OFDANET GSS does not collect, maintain, or disseminate personally identifiable information (PII).

AGENCY INTENDED USE
The GSS provides computing connectivity to OFDA GSS users accessing the OFDA sub-network from any of the OFDA logical sites and/or any remote connections into the OFDA logical sites. The GSS consists of the underlying information technology infrastructure for the OFDA system including servers, workstations, networks, and operating systems.
INFORMATION SHARING
The OFDANET GSS does not share PII, since it does not collect, maintain or disseminate PII.
NOTICE OF OPPORTUNITIES FOR CONSENT
Since the OFDANET GSS does not collect, maintain or disseminate PII, no notice of opportunity for consent is required.
INFORMATION SECURITY
Physical access to the facility is controlled through the use of guards, identifications badges and cipher locks.
Logical access to the OFDANET GSS is secured by the use of user ids and passwords and restricted access to the desktop workstations from which the system is accessed.
SYSTEM OF RECORDS NOTICE (SORN)
Since the OFDANET GSS contains no PII, a system of records notice is not required.
