How to Apply for AHS Programs

If you are interested in applying to be a resident in one of our Public Housing communities or for a Section 8 voucher visit us at our office, 1840 University SE, Monday through Friday, 8 am-5 pm, to pick up an application packet. These packets allow us to collect the necessary information to determine if you are eligible to participate in our programs. The packets can be filled out at your convenience and returned to AHS on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 am-4 pm. Complete and accurate application packets will be processed immediately.

Also, potential applicants should know that since AHS has adopted HUD's national "One Strike-You're Out" policy to assure safe and healthy environments in our communities, we conduct background checks with the Albuquerque Police Department on all family members 18 years of age and over. Once we have determined you meet our program requirements you will be notified in writing that you have been placed on our waiting list.
