Lecture "Strategies to Enhance Ocean Literacy"
Louisa Koch discusses the strategies of the National
Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to educate the
public about the ocean and its changes. She will discuss ways
in which people can learn about the ocean and behaviors that
are good for the environment. Koch is NOAA’s director
of education, responsible for educating the public about the
role of the ocean, coasts, Great Lakes, and atmosphere in the
global environment as well as for developing the next generation
of professionals capable of understanding and managing those
