Deserts: Abundant Discoveries Despite Desolation

Destinations: Deserts exist in all parts of the solar system. Some examples can be found on Mercury, Venus, Earth, our Moon, Mars, and the Asteroid Belt. Desert moons even exist around the gas giants and beyond.

Missions: This month the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) completes its long journey and starts orbiting Mars to conduct research.

Features: Saturn's moon Titan has recently discovered surprising surface features. Even the planet Mercury has some exciting discoveries.
