Affiliated Organizations:

As an affiliate of IBM Corporation, you can register to become a Certifying Organization and bestow presidential recognition on your volunteers. As a Certifying Organization you will have the opportunity to recognize your youth and adult volunteers and to distribute the Award. We hope you will take this opportunity to recognize the kind and compassionate efforts of your volunteers by incorporating the President's Volunteer Service Award into your organization’s recognition programs.

Volunteers:

As a volunteer with IBM Corporation, you might be eligible to earn the President’s Volunteer Service Award. Through this website, you are able to track your own volunteer hours in the Record of Service. This personal diary tracks your service against the criteria to earn one of the PVSA. To learn more about your organization’s participation in the program, please contact your volunteer coordinator.

About the President’s Volunteer Service Award:

The President’s Volunteer Service Award is issued by the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation on behalf of the President of the United States to recognize the best in American spirit, and to encourage all Americans to improve their communities through volunteer service, and civic participation. The Award is given to individuals, families, and groups that have demonstrated outstanding volunteer service and civic participation over the course of a 12-month period.

As a Certifying Organization, you will keep records of each volunteer's service activities and hours, and order and distribute the awards. For your convenience, you may choose to track volunteer hours online through the USA Freedom Corps Record of Service.
