Summary:
This course will combine lecture, case presentations, hands-on clinical examinations, and clinical patient observations. The goal is to allow the participant to feel more confident in treating temporomandibular disorders (TMD).

Cost is $1500 plus travel/per diem for each instructor.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
1. Understand the basic anatomy of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) muscle system.
2. Understand 5 causes of temporomandibular disorders (TMD).
3. Know the common signs and symptoms of TMD.
4. Perform a TMD screening history and exam.
5. Make 4 common diagnoses.
6. Recommend 10 self-care treatments.
7. Recognize 3 conditions that need medical referrals. |
