Summary:

This course will demonstrate how to use Pathways, a computer program for dental assisting education. Additional educational material to train new dental assistants will also be explored. Participants can expect pre-course communication and assignments.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
1. Understand how to use Pathways and additional educational material [books and videos] to train new/OJT dental assistants.
2. Coordinate and make adjustments to curriculum to meet the specific needs of a trainee.
3. Provide instruction using Pathways and other educational material.
4. Use a variety of feedback techniques to assist the trainee to become an effective and efficient dental assistant

Prerequisites:

Currently or will be involved with Dental Assisting Education.
