Summary:
This 3 day course is designed to offer the new, untrained dental assistant knowledge and skills needed to be an effective team member. During this course the participants will receive an introduction to the duties and responsibilities of a dental assistant principles of infection control dental terminology dental charting. In addition the Radiology Health and Safety written exam will be given. Participants can expect pre-course communication and assignments. |
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
1. Describe the role and responsibilities of a dental assistant.
2. Identify preferred learning style and appreciate the potential strengths and problems associated with that learning style.
3. Recognize the importance of infection control.
4. Understand the importance of dental radiation safety. |
