Summary:

This 3 day course is designed to offer the experienced dental assistant an opportunity to update and improve their knowledge and skills in the clinic. During this course the participants will re-examine their duties and responsibilities update principles of infection control evaluate their efficiency and effectiveness in the clinic reassess their professionalism and teamwork practices. Participants can expect pre-course communication and assignments.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
1. Describe the role and responsibilities of an effective dental assistant.
2. Evaluate current infection control practices, and make changes when necessary.
3. Increase awareness of daily clinical efficiency practices.
4. Recognize the importance of being a productive team member.
5. Demonstrate a positive attitude when dealing with patients and co-workers.

Prerequisites:

10 years of experience as a dental assistant. No exceptions.
