Summary:
The purpose of this course is to provide a review of Advanced Restorative techniques and materials for those dental assistants who have previously completed the Advanced Restorative Functions course, have been utilized as expanded functions assistants placing advanced restorations for at least five years, and feel the need for a refresher course. This course will briefly re-introduce concepts concerning tooth anatomy and morphology but will primarily be a hands-on course working with typodonts and doing restorations. |
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the participants will be able to:
1. Determine the difference between an acceptable and unacceptable restoration.
2. Have a better understanding of tooth anatomy and morphology.
3. Understand where help is most needed when doing restorations. |
Prerequisites:
1. Completion of Restorative Functions-Advanced.
2. Five years experience placing advanced restorations.
3. Dental Assistant Assessment.
4. Supervising Dental Officer Assessment. |
