English Language Learners (ELL) Research Agenda Conference

Sponsor/Co-Sponsor(s): Child Development and Behavior (CDB) Branch, Center for Research for Mothers and Children (CRMC), NICHD; International Reading Association (IRA); National Institute for Literacy; and the Office of English Language Acquisition, U.S. Department of Education.

Location: Washington, D.C.
Purpose: Based on a literature synthesis document based in-part upon the National Literacy Panel for Language Minority Children and Youth's final report, an invited group of researchers will develop a research agenda to address instructional and intervention research for the development of English literacy in ELL students. This event is the third NICHD-IRA Partnership Conference on Reading, a partnership begun in 2003.
